Kavinda Dilshara Herath is a Research Assistant and Project Coordinator at the Multidisciplinary AI Research Centre (MARC), University of Peradeniya. He holds a B.Sc. Engineering (Hons) in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of Ruhuna, graduating with First-Class Honours. His research interests span Computer vision, deep learning, and signal processing. He has a strong track record of research excellence, with multiple publications in top-tier journals and conferences, including an upcoming paper in the IEEE Sensors Journal (IF: 4.5, Q1). Dilshara’s work has been recognized with several prestigious awards, such as the International Winners title in the IEEE IES Generative AI Challenge 2025 and the 1st Place (National) award in the IEEE Innovations Sri Lanka Competition 2024.
